What is Home Visiting?
Home visiting is a free, voluntary service where a home visiting provider comes to a family’s home to help set and reach goals through resources, community and support. Services may vary by model, but each one generally helps parents of young children to:
- Understand child development and key milestones
- Build and maintain positive parent-child relationships
- Find community resources and supports
- Improve child and family well-being
What is Missouri’s Home Visiting Referral System?
The Missouri Home Visiting Referral System is a web-based platform that makes it easy to refer a family to home visiting services anywhere in the state through one of five regional coordinated referral & intake system (CRIS) networks. Each regional CRIS network is managed by a state-funded home visiting collective impact site and includes a variety of home visiting programs and models in its specific service area.
