Health Equity is Everyone’s Business
The Saint Louis County Department of Public Health uses a grass roots approach to cultivate a culture of health equity within the department. A cross-divisional team is dedicated to building capacity and empowering staff to address health equity in the community at large. This session will describe how the Health Equity Committee formed and grew, developed a strategic plan, modified tools to assess organizational and individual capacity and skills, and internally developed, implemented, and evaluated a comprehensive health equity curriculum.
